The upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will finally see Sheldon in touch with his science-loving side again. The recent episodes of the season focused greatly on relationships and while fans will still get a dose of it in "The Helium Insufficiency," it will be balanced out with a good old science dilemma.

Sheldon, Leonard and the gang are doing a project that needs lots of helium, which, unfortunately and funnily, is on backorder. The duo tries to find someone that can provide them that and so they meet up with a black market dealer that can give them what they need for the right price.

In "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode promo, Sheldon is seen aware that the deal might go out of kilter and so instead of introducing himself with his real name, he instead says that his name is Skippy. Changing his name doesn't eliminate his Sheldon-ness, of course, and this, for Leonard, gives them bigger chances of getting killed.

Meanwhile, apart from the nationwide helium shortage, the duo has to deal with Swedish scientists who are trying to take credit of their concept. In the midst of all that, the upcoming "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will also see Amy make big steps in moving on from her heartbreak using a dating app.

Penny and Bernadette download the app on her phone, which they will use to find her a new man she could date. It remains to be seen if she will find love online but the fact that she is actually letting her friends do this shows that Amy is prepared to move forward with her life.

In the previous episode, Sheldon and Amy agreed that they can go on dates not together but with other people. This is after Barry, Sheldon and the guys' fencing instructor, decided to take advantage of the situation and ask Amy on a date.
