In the next episode of the "The Big Bang Theory," Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and his fiancee Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) struggle to find their best man and maid of honor for their upcoming wedding.

The synopsis and promotional pictures for the upcoming installment titled "The Matrimonial Metric" were just released and showed Cooper and Fowler discussing who would be the best person among their friends to become their best man and maid of honor at their marriage ceremony. They decide that the most effective way to determine that is to perform secret experiments on their friends. They appear to be conducting interviews with Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), and the rest of the group. Cooper is more particular about what he wants in his ideal candidate, but Fowler is not that rigid.

After some time, the couple comes up with a leaderboard that has all the names of their prospective best men and maids of honor. It seems that Howard's wife Bernadette is in the lead with 65 points while Koothrappali is ahead with 60 points. It seems a bit strange since Leonard and his wife Penny are the couple's best friends. However, they are not leading in the race. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen who will be the final picks for Cooper and Fowler.

In the last episode, Howard and Koothrappali were still at odds with each other because the latter resented the former for making fun of him for so many years. The Indian also blamed Howard for his low self-esteem and his lack of advancement in his life. Although things were about to get heated, the two friends ended up playing in a bouncy house and having fun.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 11 episode 12 will hit the airwaves on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
