"The Big Bang Theory" fans were devastated when they saw how Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) ended their relationship when season 9 premiered its episode last Sept. 21.

It was truly a shocking twist that even other characters in the show didn't know about it, considering Amy kept it a secret.

So now that the two have headed to splitsville, what's in store for them in season 9?

According to reports, Amy is now ready to explore the world of being single after her breakup with Sheldon.

E!News reported that Amy is ready to move on to a new chapter in her life and will even go on a date with different guys in the future episodes. This news was revealed by no less than Bialik herself.

It could be high time for Amy to date guys that do not resemble Sheldon's personality so as to bring a whole new character to the show and add some spice to her love life.

However, Bialik revealed that her character will likely go for the same type of guys — one who's geeky smart and has the same interests as hers.

What that would mean for "The Big Bang Theory" audience is that the show won't be guesting an eye candy for fans or Amy to feast on.

As for her character's ex-love, Bialik suggested that Sheldon might be better off paired with Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) or Penny (Kaley Cuoco).

Meanwhile, the latest episode of "Big Bang Theory" season 9 showed Howard (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) planning for a bachelor party for Leonard (Johnny Galecki).

The whole gang went on a trip to Mexico and they had to kidnap Leonard just to get him to tag along.

In the same episode, Amy tried to deal with her breakup with Sheldon with Penny's help. She then decided that she should get a "break-up makeover" and her friends Bernadette and Penny gladly stepped up to help.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 airs on Mondays, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
