Fans have been waiting for developer Bethesda's next big project now that "Fallout 4" is out. Some fans are clamoring for the team to shift its focus to the next "The Elder Scrolls" installment. Bethesda seems to have this in mind as it is rumored that "The Elder Scrolls VI" may make an appearance at this year's E3.

According to Breathecast, it has already been some time since Bethesda hinted at any sequels in the story of "The Elder Scrolls." While Pete Hines has already pointed out that the company is not in the process of yearly churning out a release for their big projects, the observer feels it is already time for Bethesda to make an announcement about a possible "The Elder Scrolls VI." The current title in the franchise, "The Elder Scrolls Online," was released in 2014, while, before that, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" was launched in 2011.

The industry follower said that Bethesda seems keen on announcing big projects at the annual E3. Last year, the company announced "Fallout 4" at the trade show. As the company already confirmed its attendance at this year's E3, fans may expect that there will be a big surprise from the company.

Meanwhile, Gaming Bolt believes that since Bethesda still has plans for the expansion of its "Fallout 4" title, it may be some time before fans see "The Elder Scrolls VI." However, this doesn't mean that the company will not be releasing a franchise installment soon. According to the industry follower, Bethesda may be thinking of following the trend among recent game releases – a remastered title. Should this be proven true, Bethesda may be developing a remastered title for "Skyrim" so fans would remain interested in the franchise while waiting for a proper sequel.
