Barry (Grant Gustin) has returned to his original timeline, leaving the "Flashpoint" arc behind. But it seems that the alternate timeline has affected Barry's present very deeply. It appears that one of the affected people is Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), who could now be turning into Killer Frost.

In the season premiere of "The Flash" season 3, Barry has decided that he can not live in the "Flashpoint" arc that he created even if both of his parents are still alive. He values his original timeline more, especially with the relationships he had there, which pushes him to let Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) kill his mother once again to set everything back to the way it was.

However, it looks like the alternate timeline has caught up with his current one. Upon his return to his original present, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) are not in good terms, similar to their relationship in the "Flashpoint."

In episode 2 — titled "Paradox" — the effects of Barry's "Flashpoint" will be catching up with him and the people he loves.

According to the official synopsis released by Spoiler TV, "Barry realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian's immediate disdain for Barry."

His actions which lead to the "Flashpoint" arc have created certain changes in his current timeline, and one of the most alarming yet is Caitlin Snow acquiring the abilities of Killer Frost from Earth-2. It was speculated before the premiere that Killer Frost will be returning, but how she will return was still a mystery.

Now that Caitlin has developed powers like Frost, will she become the new Killer Frost just like Zoom (Teddy Sears) said she could be?

Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) will be visiting Central City, and hopefully, she can help Barry sort out the tied up tangles of "Flashpoint" and his current timeline.

"The Flash" season 3 airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
