The "X-Men" inspired series by Fox titled "The Gifted" is on its first season. It may have been quite disappointing for long-time "X-Men" fans to not be treated with the appearances of iconic and familiar characters that made the series so popular. However, things are looking to change in the upcoming episodes, since the show will be hinting at one of the most recognizable villains in comic book history.

In a report by Adventures in Poor Taste, the title of the third episode will be "eXodus," which gives the idea that the next character that might be featured would be Bennet du Paris. However, this is not the case, and it has been revealed that episode 3 will be featuring a flashback from three years ago featuring the budding romantic relationship between Polaris, played by Emma Dumon, and Eclipse, played by Sean Teale.

Polaris, also known as Lorna Dane, is known to be the daughter of the iconic Magneto – who has yet to make an appearance on the show. According to TV Line, Lorna is still not aware of Magneto's true identity, which leaves the character in constant struggle to understand herself and her abilities as a mutant. She only goes by the rumors that she hears about her father, most of which are not all good since he is a villain after all.

In the fourth episode, according to Den of Geek, fans can expect the mutants to devise a plan to take down the Sentinel Services. Eclipse is hinted to seek a friend from his past to gather more information on how to do exactly that. However, it is not revealed as to whom the source could be. The exciting possibility here is that it is most likely to be another mutant.

Additionally, Lauren, played by Natalie Alyn Lind, and Andy, played by Percy Hynes White, are still discovering the full potential of their abilities. Will they be able to get better at utilizing their powers in order to further the interests of the group?

"The Gifted" airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. EDT on FOX.
