Season 7 of "The Good Wife" will see Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) starting over after she lost everything back in season 6. Toward the end of the season, Alicia said goodbye to her friend, Kalinda (Archie Panjabi), and she was forced to give up the States Attorney position after winning the election.

So what's next for the lawyer in season 7? According to Margulies, her character will go back to square one as she tries to earn a living.

Speaking to CBS Local, the actress said, "Alicia needs to make some money and no law firm will hire her. So in the premiere you see her go to bond court, which a lot of lawyers look down on because it's a very tough job and it's sort of where people go who can't get into law firms."

She added that viewers will see a split between the two law firms as Alicia starts her own law firm and goes to bond court to earn "$135 a case, which isn't working for her." Margulies revealed that Canning (Michael J. Fox) will try to woo her back and ask her if she wants to be a partner. Meanwhile, Diana (Christine Baranski) and Cary (Matt Czuchry) will try to get control of their law firm, which is "out of date."

The star said that everyone at bond court will be hostile to Alicia at first, as they automatically assume that she's difficult to deal with. But at a certain point, Alicia meets Luca Quinn, played by Cush Jumbo, a lawyer who at first competes for her clients, but becomes a good friend later on. Luca will realize that Alicia is struggling and that this realization will result in their characters forming a bond.

Jumbo told CBS that Luca will recognize Alicia from the States Attorney race and that she actually voted for her. And while Alicia will wonder whether Luca will be disappointed in her after the election, Jumbo said that there will be an instant friendship between the two because "there's a lot about Alicia that Luca can identify with."

Meanwhile, Jason Crouse, played by newcomer Jeffrey Dean Morgan, will be another person whom Alicia will work with in season 7.

"He was a lawyer at one time, and he beat up a judge and was thrown in person. Now he is obviously out and can't practice law anymore," said Morgan about his character. The actor said that after Jason has been disbarred, he becomes an investigator and starts working with Alicia.

"The Good Wife" season 7 premieres on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9/8c on CBS.
