Last Sunday's "The Good Wife" illustrated how devastating the untimely death of Will Gardner was for Alicia and Diane, and left many wondering how the Lockhart/Gardner law firm adjust to his departure. The next episode, entitled "A Material World" will show just how resilient Diane and Alicia are.

In an exclusive spoiler video, Diane shows David that she is the head woman in charge, and hints that Will's death will only increase her power. But will this power completely corrupt Diane? How will she work with Alicia if the two decide to combine firms?

The loss of Will is particularly great for Alicia, but she emerges stronger than ever because of the trauma: "Of course there's gonna be this hole in her life, but how she fills it and how she starts to question her choices—'Why am I doing this? Why am I representing these a--holes?'—suddenly it's black and white. There's no gray area," actress Julianna Margulies told E! Online. "A death, I think—anything important that happens in someone's life is a game-changer, and it makes you hopefully a better person for it. You'll see this tremendous loss for her, but the choices she makes from them on are incredibly careful, and they're mostly about her."

In "A Material World," Alicia has a heated confrontation with Peter about his infidelity-- and hers. It appears the couple is coming clean, and with Will out of the picture, Peter may have more of an opportunity to work on his marriage. The International Business Times reveals that Alicia will help Finn when the State Attorney needs someone to take the fall in the Jeffrey Grant case. How will the murder case affect a potential merger between her firm and Lockhart/Gardner?
