The dark side of the force is starting to show the extent of its dominion, as an upcoming book for "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi" reveals photos which indicate the magnitude of Supreme Leader Snoke's (Andy Serkis) dark side powers.

Leaked photos of the upcoming book show that Snoke's primary force powers are telepathy, common among powerful Jedis. It is usually used for force chokes, which was demonstrated in spades by Darth Vader (James Earl Jones), and force throws, another common ability among users of the force.

A Reddit thread discussing the leaked photos suggested that it may have been Snoke who telepathically told Rey (Daisy Ridley) to kill Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in the Starkiller base back in "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens," proving that Snoke was disappointed by Ren and wanted Rey to come to the dark side as a replacement.

Guarding Snoke are his Praetorian Guards, which are eight human specialists in melee combat whose sole task is keeping the Sith lord safe. Rumors that they were droids and not human and speculations that they were the six Knights of Ren (Jedis who turned to the dark side) were equally disproved.

This solidified Snoke as an actual living Sith Lord. Before the leak, fans were unsure as to whether he was just a projection of the dark side since he only appeared as a giant hologram in "The Force Awakens." Rumors that Snoke could be a resurrected Darth Sidious a.k.a. Emperor Palpatine from the original trilogy were also debunked as Ian McDiarmid, the actor who played him in "Star Wars Episode VI: The Last Jedi" has confirmed that his character will not be returning for any new film.

Another revelation which fans have been fighting over is Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) location. The leaked photos for the book pretty much confirm that Luke has been on the planet for years when Rey discovered him in the ending of "The Force Awakens."

It was also confirmed that Luke fled and exiled himself after he witnessed the tragic destruction of his attempt to rebuild the Jedi Order. It was not yet clear what Luke sought in the exile, but it was speculated that he was looking for the first Jedi temple.

"Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi" is set to arrive on Dec. 15 in theaters worldwide.
