Chandler (Eric Dane) and the squad will embark on another dangerous mission in the upcoming episode of TNT's post-apocalyptic drama series "The Last Ship."

In "Uneasy Lies the Hand," Cartermatt reports that the captain will land the Nathan James in dangerous territory to find the necessary supplies for Dr. Scott's (Rhona Mitra) laboratory. With Rachel on the verge of a breakthrough, getting those materials has become a matter of life and death.

While investigating, Burk (Jocko Sims) will chance upon a group of children who has made a deal with the Immunes. If the kids can give useful information about the U.S. Navy, they will be given a bounty. When the Immunes came to gather their moles, the two factions clash.

Meanwhile, Rachel has to endure working with Niels (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). While she cannot hold back her distaste for Patient Zero, she has to grit her teeth and proceed with her experiment. The success of creating a spreadable cure lies entirely on his shoulders and she knows it.

In the show's panel during the San Diego Comic-Con, executive producer Hank Steinberg and the rest of the cast talked about what's in store for the remaining episodes of season 2. According to Entertainment Weekly, viewers may finally know what happened to XO Slattery's (Adam Baldwin) family, although the actor said that part "could be sad."

Balwin was quick to take back his words, however. "But we're not sure! We have to presume the best and prepare for the worst, and it's an open question at this point."

Meanwhile, Danny (Travis Van Winkle) and Kara (Marissa Neitling) may get married. As for details of the union, Steinberg kept the details to himself, as well as the gender and name of the two's incoming offspring. The EP also revealed that viewers will see how the other countries have fared after the apocalypse.

"This season, we'll also see glimpses into the state of affairs in the rest of world, provided that the crew can begin to wrestle the beast of what America's going through," he said.

"The Last Ship" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on TNT.
