The role playing video game by Nintendo, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," may be one of the biggest games to hit the market in 2017. Nintendo has promised to further expand on the content of the base game by providing players with more content after releasing the first downloadable content (DLC) pack. The good news is that there are speculations that the second one might be available before the year ends.

In a report by IGN, the DLC pack titled "The Champions' Ballad" has been confirmed by Nintendo. The announcement was made by the president of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime. The DLC will be part of the "Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild" season pass, which is the second one after the first DLC pack "The Master Trials."

Fils-Aime had been interviewed by Kotaku, wherein he expressed his positivity in releasing the second DLC even before the year ends. The release of "The Champions' Ballad" may come as a shock for fans and players of the game, especially since Nintendo seemed to have overlooked the announcement of such big news back in September – wherein most of their big announcements for their most popular titles was announced online.

However, fans were greeted with other news such as new Amiibo figures for "The Legend of Zelda" which is scheduled to be released on Nov. 10. Fans should not be hoping for a Nov. 10 release date for "The Champions' Ballad," but Nintendo is definitely still on schedule with their 2017 target release date for the DLC.

According to Game Rant, Nintendo is known to have problems in keeping their inventory up to meet the demands of their players in the past. Given that, the release of the Champion Amiibo should give fans enough time to prepare to finally get their hands on the upcoming DLC. With regards to the story, many fans and game critics have speculated that it could very well be a continuation to the main story of the base version of the game.

Currently, there is still no final and confirmed release date for "The Champions' Ballad."
