The cast of the fourth installment of "The Purge" franchise has grown.

"The Purge: The Island" has added Mo McRae, who appeared on the FOX TV show "Pitch"; Jovian Wade, who made an appearance on "Doctor Who"; Luna Lauren Velez of "How to Get Away with Murder"; Steve Harris of "The Practice"; Patch Darragh of "Boardwalk Empire"; and Mugga from "Orange Is the New Black."

The actors will join previously announced lead actors Y'lan Noel from "Insecure" and Lex Scott Davis from "Training Day."

Director Gerard McMurray, who worked on "Burning Sands," will be helming the film based on the script written by James DeMonaco, who wrote and directed the first three films.

The upcoming film will be produced by Jason Blum, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form and Sebastien K. Lemercier along with DeMonaco.

The fourth film will be treated as a prequel that will highlight the events that will lead to the setting of the first "Purge" film.

In an interview with Vulture, DeMonaco revealed that the fourth installment will take place on Staten Island and will be experimental in nature. He added that the prequel will be more crowd-pleasing than its previous predecessors.

The first three films have been successful for Blumhouse Productions as they tell the stories of the impact of a dystopian society on its citizens who try to survive the yearly Purge Night where all crime is legal for the next 12 hours.

The first film focused on a home-invasion during Purge Night while the second and third films, "The Purge: Anarchy" and "The Purge: Election Year," focused on socio-political issues centered on the annual event.

With the announcement of the cast and details of the fourth film, fans are hoping that it will be able to thread all four films together.

"The Purge: The Island" is slated to come out on July 4, 2018.
