Kandi Burruss welcomed her child with husband Todd Tucker on Wednesday, Jan. 6.

Todd took to Instagram to post a picture of him and Kandi at the hospital and it was captioned, "Getting ready for Baby Tucker 1.6.16! I can't wait to meet my little man!"

The couple's son arrived at 8:42am and weighed 7 lbs., 8 ounces.

The following day, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star revealed the name of her child: Ace Wells Tucker.

Speaking with E! Online, Kandi talked about her baby's name and why they chose it, saying: "We named our beautiful baby boy Ace because I wanted something unique," adding that when her son's old enough to attend school, she hopes that he won't have to worry about another child in class having the same name.

The 39-year-old added that they also chose the name because it represents the number 1. As for his middle name, Kandi said that Wells is the last name of Todd's late mother Sharon, and that they wanted to use her last name as their child's middle name to honor her memory.

This is Kandi and Todd's first child together. Kandi is also a mother to 13-year-old daughter Riley, while Todd is a father to 19-year-old daughter Kaela.

The reality star took to Instagram on Thursday to post pictures of family and friends visiting her at the hospital.

In the photos, Kandi is wearing leopard-print pajamas while resting on her hospital bed and holding the baby. One shot shows her surrounded by her friends, including "RHOA" co-star Phaedra Parks. It was captioned, "We had a party in the hospital today!"

The couple's new baby is certainly a blessing for their family as in an interview with E! News last April, Kandi revealed that she has started the process of in-vitro fertilization in hopes of conceiving. Last summer, the couple announced that they were expecting a child.
