Since the release of the much celebrated third-person game "The Sims 4," speculations have been spreading around the internet regarding EA games' plan to release the next version of the game, "The Sims 5."

Since "The Sims 4" was released back in 2014, Sims fans have been all over EA's most recent Sims release because of its impeccable graphics and newly added features. "The Sims 4" enables its users to create very detailed Sims with customizable facial features, making it much more aesthetically appealing as opposed to the previous Sims in the earlier versions of the game. Another new feature Sims fans were delighted about are the new challenges, objects, and locations that came with the game.

However, as much as the fans enjoyed the original version of "The Sims 4," the same could not be said about its expansion packs, which gamers have expressed great disappointment in. Additionally, because of the dissappointment surrounding "The Sims 4" expansion packs, rumors have spread that "The Sims 5" might be released sometime this year in response to the fans' dismay.

On another note, there is still no official news on when EA Games will be releasing "The Sims 5," but rumors suggest that EA might stick to its five-year intervals when releasing a new version of "The Sims."

EA Games has been known to release a new version of "The Sims" every five years, a fact that somewhat counters the rumors of a 2016 release for "The Sims 5."

As for what fans can expect from "The Sims 5," the upcoming installment of the Sims is said to come out with an augmented reality feature that will provide users with an optimal gameplay when used with the appropriate VR technology.

As of now, Sims fans can expect EA Games to stick to their usual schedule when releasing new installments of "The Sims," which means that "The Sims 5" might not be released until 2019.
