Tomorrow, fans can finally check in on an Elena-less Mystic Falls with "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 premiering Oct. 8. The season opener is titled "Day One of Twenty-Two Thousand, Give or Take" and it will show what life looks like without Elena around.

For Damon, of course, it isn't at all a walk in the park. The new and painful reality is forced on him in the worst way possible, and as already teased, his way of coping with it is becoming the guy he was when Elena wasn't in his life.

This is why Bonnie decides to be his "moral compass" to guide him as he deals with the fact that Elena is no longer with him. But this won't be an easy task, with Damon reminding her every single time that Bonnie's demise can bring Elena back in a snap.

With Bonnie and Elena linked (the former's death will wake up the latter), "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 spoilers hint that Damon might attempt to kill Bonnie or at least let her be killed. The good thing is that although Damon has become volatile again, he will come to his senses.

Meanwhile, as Bonnie makes sure Damon doesn't go on a downward spiral, Damon, in turn, keeps a close eye on Alaric, who also suffered a major loss in the hands of Kai. The two guys are going through the same pain, so viewers will see them drink away all their problems.

In the "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 premiere, Lily and her Heretic friends will rise to power, claiming Mystic Falls as their own. It remains to be seen who Enzo will side with as he still "struggles to find his place in Lily's new life."

What's clear, though, is that Stefan and Caroline will do everything to stop the killer posse before more innocents are killed. Unfortunately, this will put Caroline in grave danger.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 premieres at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. Fans can tune in to the live stream via the CW app.
