Julian (Todd Lasance) will have to be very careful when the hit The CW series "The Vampire Diaries" returns for the second half of season 7, as a vindictive vampire hunter is after his head.

Melty reports that the new addition to the hit series has a score to settle with the centuries-old vampire. Rayna, who will be played by actress Leslie-Anne Huff, has purportedly come to Mystic Falls searching for Julian. She has come to exact revenge, as Julian has reportedly killed someone important to her more than 200 years ago.

According to the website, Julian killed Rayna's father in 1800s when he failed to destroy her. When the vampire sought to chase after the hunter back in the days, the latter proved to be a slippery prey. As he could not get to her, Julian then decided to get even by killing the second best option. Rayna's father became the sacrificial lamb that time and until now, she still could not get over what happened.

Rayna successfully trapped Julian inside the Phoenix Stone, where he has suffered for his many crimes. But when the Heretics came looking for him in Lily's (Annie Wersching) command, Julian was freed from his prison. Melty posits that Rayna will go after him and finish what she has started. Other avenging vampires will have to get in line if they want to get a piece of Julian, as Rayna will not rest until he is dead in her hands.

This is reportedly where she will encounter Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder), who are in a similar quest to kill Julian. While Rayna does not consider them foes, the fact that they can rob her of her chance to end Julian's sorry life makes her antagonistic. She may end up hunting the brothers first to make sure the coast is clear, then proceed to finding her true target.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will return on Jan. 29, 2016 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
