'The Voice' news 2017: Blake Shelton, Charlie Puth and Maren Morris to perform new singles

In next week's episode of the Emmy-award winning musical competition "The Voice," viewers can expect to catch a stellar performance from talented and multi-awarded singers, one of which will be coach Blake Shelton.

The upcoming episode of "The Voice" season 12 will feature a performance from five-time Country Music Association (CMA) award winner Blake Shelton, Grammy nominee Charlie Puth, and CMA winner Maren Morris.

Reports say that Shelton will be playing one of his new singles, "Every Time I Hear that Song." The single is from his latest bestselling album, titled "If I'm Honest." Guest star Puth will be singing his latest single, titled "Attention," during the results show. The song is part of Puth's upcoming album. Meanwhile, Morris will be playing one of the songs from her debut album, "Hero." She will be performing "I Could Use a Love Song."

Puth has appeared in "The Voice" before. Coach Alicia Keys invited him to be her guest adviser in season 11.

While fans of "The Voice" will be graced by such performers, unfortunately for the contestants, two singers will be bidding the show goodbye. After the double elimination round, eight contestants will advance to the Live Semifinal which will take place in the week after next.

Shelton has three contestants left. Coach Adam Levine also has three, while Gwen Stefani and Keys have two. Team Blake's contestants who got into season 12's top 10 are Lauren Duski, Aliyah Moulden, and Tsoul. From team Adam, Mark Isaiah, Jesse Larson, and Lilli Passero made it to the top 10. Team Gwen has Brennley Brown and Hunter Plake, while Team Alicia has Chris Blue and Vanessa Ferguson.

A new episode of "The Voice" season 12 will air on Tuesday, May 8, at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC. The results show will follow the next day, May 9.
