AMC's post-apocalyptic series "The Walking Dead" has seen better days in terms of Sunday's ratings.

"The Walking Dead" season 8 is seeing a turbulent journey following up and down ratings for its episodes. For this week, the luck from last week's boost seems to have worn off, with episode 7, titled "Time for After," only sparking interest from 7.47 million viewers aged 18-49, earning a 3.3 rating. The rating is the lowest for this season.

In comparison, last week's episode 6, titled "The King, The Widow, and Rick," saw an increase, which was attributed to probably one of the most awaited announcements for the show, the revelation on the crossover character. It had garnered 8.3 million 18-49 viewers, getting a 3.6 rating.

Even so, "The Walking Dead" is still the most-watched cable show on Sunday, with the "Talking Dead" on the second place with 1.2 rating and 2.7 million viewers. However, the downward trend may still continue until its finale, as just two episodes had experienced a slight increase from the previous episodes.

Pollyanna McIntosh, who plays Jadis, in an interview with Comicbook, revealed that the show was all ears on what the fans had to say. "We're just going, 'Is it working? Are you guys with us? Are you following the story? Are you loving what's happening? Are you hating who you should hate and are you thrilled and excited about what's to come?' And we're certainly hearing that message," McIntosh said.

This season had also seen a bad start with its premiere only getting 11.4 million viewers with 5.0 rating, as compared with the season 7 premiere with 16.4 million viewers and an 8.4 rating. "The Walking Dead" season 7 premiere saw the deaths of two of the most-loved characters in the show, Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz).

"The Walking Dead" airs every Sunday, at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
