Developer Ubisoft Massive is making substantial changes in "Tom Clancy's The Division" with Update 1.4 to give players a much better gaming experience.

One of the most important and highly anticipated tweaks is the ability of gamers to preview vanity items so that they will not have to blindly spend their money on pieces of clothing without getting a good look at it first.

The way "Tom Clancy's The Division" is at the moment, players will have to put on a garb, navigate to the cosmetic menu and zoom in on the item in question to get a view of it.

After Update 1.4, players won't have to go through all that trouble just to preview how it looks on their character. After all, it is something that game should have had when it first launched.

This is just one of the truckload of changes the next update is bringing to "Tom Clancy's The Division." Another big one is the addition of World Levels, comparable to "Diablo," which changes the game in massive and exciting ways.

Update 1.4 introduces four World Levels that come with their respective tiers of gear that also have an effect on the levels of the non-playable characters or NPCs that players will come across.

The max NPC level is now 33, which means that there will no longer be level 34 and 35 characters. However, the level 33 enemies after the "Tom Clancy's The Division" update will be more challenging and stronger than the level 33 enemies prior to the update.

World Tier 1 comes with 163, 182 gear while World Tier 2 bumps it up to 182, 204 gear. World Tier 3 comes with 204, 229 gear while the final one, World Tier 4 has 229 gear.

Since 229 is now the max gear, the "Tom Clancy's The Division" update is also balancing out the Gear Sets with Yellows to reflect this change. This means that 191 is now 163, 214 becomes 182, 240 is 204 and the previous max 268 becomes 229.

With the "Tom Clancy's The Division" update, players can max out the gear score for these World Levels, and the game will alert players when they are ready for the next tier.

This big change alone also affects the difficulty of the game since the level of modes will now mirror the kind of loot and rewards players can get.
