The Blue Jays survived one more game by winning Game 5 to pull this series back to 2-3 but they must win two more straight games to progress to the World Series.

Toronto are gaining a strong reputation for being comeback Kings. Already this postseason they stormed back from being 0-2 down to the Texas Rangers to claim the ALDS 3-2 in that best of five match up. They faced a similar situation here against the Royals in the ALCS; needing to win three straight games to see off elimination. They've completed step one, and now need to gain two more victories.

However, they face a Kansas City team who are no strangers to making extraordinary comebacks themselves. Last season's Wild Card win over Oakland was one of the most memorable games in recent years, and they will still feel confident that they can get over the line and close out the series.

Game 5 took place on Toronto and saw the Blue Jays pile on the runs with a 7-1 rout.

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons has said ahead of the game: "You look at all the elimination games, our offense has really come to life. We've said all along that's the key to our team, scoring runs. You hate to make a habit of it, but maybe we can pull it off again."

The Blue Jays will be sending David Price to the mound to get the job done tonight. He was the starter in Game 2, and looked like putting on a perfect display to Toronto, going six innings and shutting out the Royals' offense. However, he then imploded and allowed five runs in the seventh inning. He will have to put in a more complete performance today of his team are to win.

Opposite him will be Yordano Ventura for Kansas City. He allowed three runs and eight hits in his 5 1/3 innings previously, and was able to be a spectator for their comeback win as the Royals closed things out.

Ventura said through catching coach Pedro Grifol: ''I'm very fortunate and happy that this game has landed on my turn, here in Kansas City, and with the opportunity to take this club to the World Series. I'll be ready for this game.''
