Two arrested over teenager's murder

Police investigating the murder of an 18-year-old teenager in Edmonton, north London, have arrested two men in their twenties, Scotland Yard said.

Melvin Bryan died on July 10 after being stabbed in the neck and chest in a fight near North Middlesex Hospital.

He was the 20th teenager to die a violent death in London this year and was one of four knife murders reported in the capital in 24 hours last week.

Police said they had arrested two men, aged 23 and 28, in Harringey, north London, on Monday afternoon.

A man and a woman initially arrested after the attack were later released without charge.
