'Assassin's Creed Unity': 'no face' bug fixed by Ubisoft

After "Assassin's Creed: Unity" players complained about the "no face" bug that took over the PC version of the game last week, Ubisoft finally declared that the bug has been fixed. 

In the official blog of action-packed historical video game, the developers announced that they have managed to find the source of the glitch. 

"In order to find how players are encountering this issue we tested it rigorously and have discovered that this only occurs on PCs with one of two specific graphics cards, and in both cases the issue is resolved with the application of the Day 1 patch (as well as all future patches)," the game developer said. 

To explain why the team of developers failed to distinguish the bug before the game was launched this month, Ubisoft stated that the issues were not yet appearing when they were testing it during the trial phase. 

Other major glitches that were discovered by the players include the so-called "falling through the floor" glitch, the framerate issues, as well as the intolerable NPC glitch. 

"We can tell you that we have detected a distinct discrepancy between what we observed in the pre-launch versus post-launch environment. In spite of our testing, it looks like the instruction queue is becoming overloaded and impacting performance," the Canadian game developing firm said. 

"Assassin's Creed Unity" is the seventh major installment of the "Assassin's Creed" franchise. It is set during the French Revolution in Paris, France, and the single-player stealth game concentrates on Arno Dorian's combat with the real movers behind the historical revolution. 

Since the "no face" bug has been already addressed, Ubisoft is expecting to hear that the players can start enjoying the game without any hassles. 

"This should not be affecting any players who are allowing their game to be automatically patched as recommended with updates as they are released," the developer wrote. "If you believe you are seeing this issue under any other circumstance, contact our support team and let us know!"
