Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo are both confident that they will come out victorious this coming weekend at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 194, a tiff that will finally happen after the Brazilian champion had to pull out of their previously scheduled match due to a rib injury. 

Both were originally set to face each other last July for UFC 189. Aldo withdrew from the scheduled tiff which forced the UFC to replace him with Chad Mendes.

Despite the last-minute change, McGregor still won that one over an ill-prepared Mendes after the latter made a risky move that failed to connect. With that triumph, The Notorious feels that the change in opponent has worked to his advantage and he intends to show that at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas this weekend.

McGregor later on revealed that he could have easily withdrawn as well, revealing that he too had knee problems. Even though there were concerns on how he would fare at the time, McGregor obviously passed with flying colors.

His win at UFC 189 has bumped up his level a notch and silenced his detractors who believe that he got where he is because of his mouth. This is why he feels that he is practically "bulletproof" against Aldo who has dominated the division so far.

Cocky as he may, that triumph and his knack for shooting off his mouth have indeed elevated him to a higher stature in the UFC; but all that could change if Aldo holds true to his promise of punishing the Irishman and at least silencing him even for just one night.

Aldo and McGregor are not exactly the best of friends and the past months have seen the two jaw at each other. The animosity and drama tied up with their colorful feud is, of course, what has made the UFC 194 main event something to watch out for, with both fighters seemingly even, although one cannot discount the experience that Aldo brings.
