Uruguay claimed a record 15th Copa America title four years ago and will be looking to repeat that feat this year, although if they are to defend their title they will have to do it without four big players who were pivotal at the last Copa America.

Diego Forlan was a massive player for them four years ago, however the former Manchester United forward has since retired and he will be a big loss for the South American team. In addition, Uruguay will be missing Diego Lugano, Martin Caceres and Sebastian Abreu, who are all out through injury.

Another man the Uruguayan nation will be missing is Barcelona's Luis Suarez, who has made a excellent comeback since the biting scandal that engulfed him at last summer's World Cup in Brazil. After coming back from a lengthy ban for his bite, he has established himself as an integral part of Barcelona's attacking line-up. However, a FIFA ban sees him unavailable for today's game, and that means most Uruguayan hopes up front drop on Paris St Germain's star forward, Edinson Cavani.

Cavani has said ahead of the game, "We have to be humble, which is something that has characterised this team throughout the years. We are going into the tournament with a low profile, as we have always done. Every game is difficult and we respect Jamaica," according to Uruguay newspaper El Pais.

He added, "We cannot underestimate Jamaica, we just hope we can do a good job against them."

Uruguay can ill afford any slip ups today, as they will be playing Argentina in their next game, and a victory against Lionel Messi and co is far from guaranteed. Their final group game is against a difficult Paraguay team on June 20, meaning this game against Jamaica is by far their easiest match up.
