Several weeks ago, an online hoax stated that the US legal drinking age was raised to 25, while Canada's legal drinking age was raised to 23.

The hoax was posted on Sunday Times Daily, a site that allows anyone to post anything. The website allows users to create fake news and trick their friends. To make the post look more realistic, the post can be shared through different social networks.

Despite being "amateurishly" written, many still fell victim and believed the hoax post to be real. Many Americans shared their reactions and complaints about the injustice of the drinking age. Well, the post did come across as looking genuine and legit.

The hoax post outraged a lot of people, seeing that it has gone viral. However, if readers look closely at where the post came from, they would see on the Sunday Times Daily website a written disclaimer that reads: "We are sorry, but you were tricked! It was just a joke...Don't worry, you are not the only one. [Millions of] people already fell for this. If you liked the joke, you can share it and trick your friends. Also, you can create a joke of your own clicking the button below!"

The post garnered around 10 million page views through Facebook alone. That's not counting the shares on other social networks.

But, that's not the most surprising thing of all. The post about Canada's legal drinking age limit got 40,000 "likes." It looks like many agree!
