Vicar of Dibley set to return for one-off special
Fans of The Vicar of Dibley have good reason to be excited after its star, Dawn French, confirmed that the hit comedy show would be returning for a one-off special.
The special will air as part of the BBC's charity Big Night In, which will be raising money for the work of Comic Relief and Children In Need in providing emergency support during the coronavirus pandemic.
French confirmed that her much-loved character Geraldine will be returning for a sketch during the Big Night In.
She shared the news on Twitter with a picture of her dog collar.
"Hmmm. Somethin interestin this way comes...," she captioned the post.
She added later: "I'm back in the dog collar, back in the vicarage, and back on your telly as part of The Big Night In. Be there, or go to hell. Literally. I have some sway."
The Big Night In will feature more laughter with David Walliams and Matt Lucas bringing back Little Britain to the small screen for the first time in over 10 years.
The evening of entertainment will be hosted by Matt Baker, Zoe Ball, Lenny Henry, Davina McCall and Paddy McGuinness.
It will air on Thursday 23 April at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
