When "Vikings" season 4 returns to the small screen, fans can expect some "interesting stuff" about Ragnar's (Travis Fimmel) handicapped son, Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen).

In an interview with Showbiz Junkies, Andersen teases what his character will be like in "Viking" season 4 episode 11, "The Outsider."

"When we see him he is in his teenage years where you really need a father figure to put some f— ambition into him, to give him something extra, something to move on to, because I think he feels a little bit stuck right now," the actor explained.

"He's also very determined; he does not give up. I think you're going to see a lot of interesting stuff with him," Andersen went on to say of the "challenged, poor kid."

As teased before, the new episodes of "Vikings" season 4 will see Ivar grow into a ruthless ruler of Kattegat with the help of his father, who returns years after leaving them.

Ivar is the only one who makes Ragnar feel welcome as every single one of his brothers, along with the townsfolk, think that they are better off without him.

Ragnar's return to Kattegat will be bad news to many as the Seer believes it will lead to death and destruction, which makes his sons further hate their father, except Ivar

Ivar's rise to power will be the focus of the latter half of "Vikings" season 4 along with Ragnar's agenda for returning, which includes a meeting with King Ecbert (Linus Roache) in Paris.

The synopsis for "Vikings" season 4 episode 11 reads: "Ragnar arrives in Kattegat where he devises a plan to return to Wessex to right past wrongs, but he discovers his closest allies may have other plans."

"Vikings" season 4 returns on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 9 p.m. ET on History Channel.
