When 'Witches of East End' was cancelled last November, fans took their heartache and determination to social media and created a petition that continues to circulate. They are calling for another season of the show. Until today, no official word has been given from its creators.

One of the show's actors, Madchen Amick said that the future's show is still uncertain and the petition could result to something or nothing. In an interview with Enstars, Amick said that it could look hopeful

"I was told directly from FOX that after the cancellation, if there was enough social media buzz, that at that point, they could shop the show around to other networks. And that they - both Lifetime and FOX - were very surprised that immediate reaction from the fans and how quickly they organized and made a really big buzz about how unhappy they were at that cancellation," she said.

Fans have not given up. They continue to upload YouTube videos, use Twitter hashtags and share the online petition. Today, the petition has approximately 120,000 signatures already. According to Amick, the show's executives were surprised by the fans' strong reaction to the cancellation of the show, including threats to boycott the channel altogether.

"They said that what's so unique about our show is that it was this immediate and passionate reaction, and they just immediately organized and just started to petition - well actually, they started to petition before we heard if we were picked up or not, they really were hoping that we were gonna get renewed," she said.

Reports say that creators of the show have also expressed their disappointment in having to cancel the show but, like some viewers have pointed out, the television industry has been changing drastically with the launch of streaming sites and Netflix. It is not as easy to keep a show on as it was before.
