How can a woman go from wanting to kill all non-Muslims to a God-fearing Christian? It's a miracle that only God is capable of.

Chaima was raised as a Muslim, according to Charisma News. She shared in a new documentary called "In His Footsteps" that she struggled with suicidal depression at an early age, and it seemed like happiness and contentment are out of her grasp.

"I was doing drugs, I was smoking, I was smoking anything... I just wanted to destroy myself," she said, adding that she even attempted to kill herself three times. "I just saw a cruel world and I didn't want to be a part of it."

When she saw the horrific videos posted by ISIS on social media, something stirred inside Chaima and she even made up her mind to join them in Syria. "I hated people who weren't Muslim. I wanted to kill them," she said.

Instead of feeling repelled by the videos, Chaima confessed that she was inspired by them. "I loved to see them bleeding. I was seeing videos of decapitation and loved it," she said.

But before she could leave for Syria, something happened. Chaima's mom received some free books, and one of them was a Bible. "I started to read the Bible to prove to Christians that they were wrong," she said. "But I was wrong! And the grace of Jesus Christ started to touch me.

"I was reading things like 'pray for your enemies,' 'love them,' and I was someone who wanted to kill them," she continued. "Intellectually I didn't want to accept Jesus, but Jesus started to do a work in my heart."

After reading the Bible and accepting Jesus into her life, Chaima has finally found that her emptiness has been filled. But her Christianity came at a great cost, as her family rejected her for abandoning their faith.

Chaima's old self would have wallowed in depression, but the new Chaima is finding strength through Christ. "Jesus was there with me. He was encouraging me. The Holy Spirit was really there. I felt it, I knew it," she said.

During her baptism, Chaima even said that something supernatural happened. She flailed and scream throughout the process, but the minister persevered. After a lot of struggle with the demon inside of her, she finally found peace. "I don't even remember what I did. I had to see the video of my baptism. I was completely crazy; the demon was crazy, it wasn't me. I kicked Jon. He baptized me. I kicked him," she said.

Now, Chaima has dedicated her life to spreading God's love. She is reaching out to lost souls in the hopes of making them see the truth about God, and what he did to her life. "I started to want to talk about Jesus to everyone, even to the people who led me to terrorism. I wanted to go and see them, tell them that they are wrong, and that love is waiting for them," she said.
