Wrestlemania 32 news: Steve Austin to face off with Brock Lesnar in 2016?

As far as Wrestlemania 32 is concerned, it seems that WWE Legends want a piece of the action.

We have already heard rumors tying up Hulk Hogan, Sting, the Undertaker, Dwayne Johnson and Triple H thus far so why not Stone Cold Steve Austin?

Ideally, a WWE Legend match would see action against a lighter or fellow legend but in the case of the Rattlesnake, it seems that he is being paired with an unlikely opponent in Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar, as everyone may have probably seen, is no easy opponent. He knows how to live by his previous moniker "Here Comes the Pain". So would it be wise for Austin to get into the ring with the Beast?

Austin has been out of the WWE ring since 2003 where he last wrestled the Rock. Austin's career was cut short by various injuries, notably ones tied to his neck and back. Austin tried to continue despite the odds but the possibility of ending up permanently disabled and/or paralyzed eventually led to Austin staying out of WWE active duty.

But knowing the persona that Austin lives by, he is not one to back down from a fight. And if McMahon approves, we could see Austin back in the ring in what seems like insurmountable odds.

Such was somehow hinted when Austin sat down with Paul Heyman during an interview on the WWE Network. As usual, Austin is not backing down. In fact, he even raised the stakes saying that for the match to materialize, it would have to be a Texas Death match.

As far as Lesnar is concerned, it seems likely that he would agree to any stipulation but as far as Austin goes, his health is put in questions. Can he handle the punishment and physicality Lesnar brings especially after a very long layoff from the WWE competitive scene?

The rumors are exciting to think off but as far as this one involving Austin and Lesnar, seeing it happen remains to be seen. Check out the video of the interview below:

Wrestlemania 32 will be held on April 3, 2016 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas where the WWE is looking to improve on the record attendance that Wrestlemania 31 turned in.
