Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev may have been made for WWE Night of Champions but as far as The Showoff is concerned, there will be no one to cheer for him in his corner.

Lana suffered an unfortunate hand injury while working out in the ring for a live event. It turns out that Lana had a deformed wrist which was later on diagnosed as a Colles' fracture.

Her hand was placed on a splint but according to attending physician Dr. Scott Amann, it would likely require an operation. With that, Lana will miss about four months of active competition as revealed through WWE.com.

This development brings up a variety of questions, mostly tied up with the ongoing feud between Ziggler and Rusev. Will it be cut by the time the smoke clears after their match at WWE Night of Champions? Or will it be a case of Summer Rae leaving Rusev in favor of Ziggler?

With Lana out for four months, there could be a changing of the "gals" here, although many are not shy to voice out their dismay at the said tiff on social media already. Will the WWE listen to the rants and end it or continue at their own risk? 

Things went a bit naughty when Summer Rae was caught with that celebrated "shower surprise" on The Showoff but later on apologized to Rusev for what happened. The Bulgarian Brute, of course, accepted the apology and instead put the blame on Ziggler.

So, does this displace Lana? 

One thing to consider is that Lana has long been clamored for to get into active duty and wrestle, but injuries keep her from doing so. 

Could the case be different in four months time?

Regarding the injury, it seems that it was incurred as part of a training storyline and not an actual training for her to compete. Will fans ever see Lana wrestle other women in the WWE?
