WWE 2015 news, rumors: Rusev's uncertain future

Rusev's third match against John Cena was a critical won. The Bulgarian Brute needed a victory to restore some sanity into his character but as everyone knows by now, he lost again in a controversial manner when the luscious Lana said "I Quit" on his behalf.

Of course there is still some cloud on whether Rusev did quit, talking in a different language which may not necessarily translate to "I Quit". But then again, what was he actually saying and in a different language?

According to a Reddit user (addicted2), he did utter some words in Bulgarian but it wasn't I Quit but something in the lines of I Give Up. Wasn't this what Lana said when he took the mike?

Regardless, the loss is another setback for the Bulgarian Brute as he once again fails to regain the United States Championship. And from the looks of it, he will be losing Lana as well soon seeing the series of events that has happened between them lately.

It is apparent that Rusev and Lana will split sometime soon and many believe Lana could be wrestling soon. So with that said, where does Rusev head to?

Continuing his feud with Cena may not necessarily be the way to go, seeing fans have grown bored of the storyline. So if not Cena, where will Rusev be headed? Will he start a new feud and with whom? Will he remain a heel or turn face?

A lot of questions are up in the air but it shouldn't be surprising if we see him following the footsteps of the Iron Sheik or even Nikolai Volkov. Both carry somewhat similar personas but the thing there is that when they did lose the title, they never had a good run after that.

Is Rusev bound for follow that route as well?

For now, nothing is certain but Rusev may need a new feud or storyline to get himself back on track. Another match with Cena may not draw the same interest, seeing the dwindling hype this feud has been getting ever since Wrestlemania 31.
