WWE 2015 news: Who will benefit from John Cena's time off?

The countdown to John Cena's planned hiatus is nearing, but one thing to watch out for is who will benefit the most from his planned personal leave of absence.

To date, there is no word on what the real reason is behind his planned time off, although he did say that it will work to the benefit of the other people in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) locker room. Cena did not, of course, name names, but Forbes made a daring forecast on who the alleged beneficiaries would be

Among the names mentioned include the New Day, Kevin Owens, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins.

From the list, some of the names mentioned make sense. The New Day has been feuding with Cena lately; one of them could probably make a big jump to individual glory, something like how Rollins did, although in a different manner.

The other names somehow sound odd since technically, they are superstars in their own right. Then again, some of them do lack the experience and savvy that Cena brings — all except perhaps for Lesnar who has been around already and has proven his worth.

Owens as well as the former members of Shield (Ambrose, Reigns, and Rollins) could get a big boost and such could be to their advantage, considering that these guys are already doing their share but lacking something.

Of course, there are others who could benefit as well. Dolph Ziggler has been promised a big push so he could be probably counted in that mix.

Seeing how the WWE is struggling in the ratings game, Cena's temporary departure could make or break the WWE. And as always, it will be up to the WWE creative team to start cooking up new things — a task that may not be easy considering they have to do it without Cena around.
