Steve Austin's supposed misunderstandings with the WWE was the hot topic recently and the Rattlesnake finally cleared the air with regards to the rumors.

First off, Austin clarifies that he did not snub any Wrestlemania 31 invite.

There were no plans to begin with hence it is a non-issue. Reports had it that Austin was at odds with Vince McMahon, traced back to his podcasts which Austin explains is not true as well. Truth of the matter is that there are ongoing talks to do more podcasts but apparently a deal never materialized. Hence that addresses the whole podcast issue which as of now remains up in the air.

Another issue tied up with Austin is one concerning Tough Enough. He was apparently offered to host the show but this was way back in February and/or March. Since we are now in April, there is no filming as of now.

But what could hinder Austin from hosting the show was the Broken Skull Challenge which was apparently the first one to ask the former WWE heavyweight champion and hence rendering him improbable to host the said show.

Austin did clarify that proper timing has become an issue and considering that such is a reality show, proper planning must be done probably in the future.

So is Austin's relationship with the WWE sour? Apparently not.

Austin stressed that he and the WWE are headed in different directions but that doesn't necessarily mean that they may not hook up in the future. He made it clear that the WWE runs in his blood and if ever he does re-appear in the WWE in the future, it will be one heck of a reunion.
