'WWE 2K15' gameplay trailer highlights roster; John Cena, Triple H and more with explosive ring entrances, wrestling action

WWE 2K15 to be released for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on October 28 in the U.S.

With only a couple of weeks until the scheduled release of "WWE 2K15" for various game consoles, 2K Sports has finally released its first official gameplay trailer.

Published by IGN, the first full gameplay trailer highlights a number of popular wrestlers, including John Cena, Triple H, and Daniel Bryan, among others.

The video introduces these characters with their explosive ring entrances before heading on to full-blown wrestling action. According to The Independent, the graphics for the cut scenes have been highly remarkable whereas the overall gameplay could be the "most immersive" one yet in the WWE game series.

Moreover, fans have recognized that the gameplay trailer offers a new look at the WWE superstars who did not make an appearance in past screenshots but have already been confirmed to be featured in the "WWE 2K15" game, including Justin Gabriel and The Wyatt Family.

It has also been confirmed that CM Punk will be appearing in the game even after he has parted ways with the WWE. In the "WWE 2K15" game, he will be portraying a major role as an opponent of John Cena in the "Showcase" story mode.

In terms of modes, information on the upcoming game's MyCareer Mode has also been reported by Bleacher Report. Players will be allowed to generate a Superstar and be promoted to NXT by battling it out first with fictional wrestlers. If they're deemed competent enough by WWE Performance Center's head trainer Bill DeMott, a career upgrade will be in store for them.

"If things go well there, you'll graduate to the main WWE roster," the website noted. "There you'll have a chance to upgrade your Superstar, pick a manager, win titles, headline pay-per-view events and perhaps become a Hall of Famer."

"WWE 2K15" has been slotted for a release for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in the U.S. on Oct. 28. It will also have an international launch on Oct. 31.
