2K Sports has announced that its well-loved wrestling simulation video game is jumping from home consoles to mobile devices. The new app titled "WWE 2K" can now be played on an iOS or an Android device for $7.99.

"WWE 2K" offers a stellar roster that lets players fight in the ring as Hulk Hogan, Sting, the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Triple H, Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and many other WWE superstars. Furthermore, gamers can also create their own wrestler.

"As the first simulation-based WWE video game for mobile devices, WWE 2K provides an opportunity to experience virtual WWE action anywhere and at any time," Visual Concepts president Greg Thomas told Bleacher Report. "Inspired by the gameplay and authenticity of WWE 2K for consoles, WWE 2K offers WWE and mobile gaming enthusiasts a variety of popular WWE Superstars, game modes and more in a premium mobile format."

Players can battle in career mode and fight their way to the top by tearing through a chain of ring warriors on the way. "WWE 2K" also offers a fun way to play with friends who share the same affinity with virtual brawling by live multiplayer matches. Furthermore, the game is made more fun with unlockable rewards and other in-game prizes to encourage players to engage into a string of battles with wrestling legends they love or hate.

But of course, it is not much of a visual candy like the installments in the consoles. Nevertheless, the game looks good and it made good use of the mobile hardware's capabilities. For the ultimate mobile wrestling experience, fighters get their personal entrance themes.

Players can now start their "WWE 2K" journey, with the game now up for grabs for iOS and Android handset owners. 2K Sports is also working on "WWE 2K16" so stay tuned for that as well.
