Personal computer (PC) players may soon be able to get their hands on "WWE 2K16."

Recently, a listing for what looks to be a PC port of "WWE 2K16" was spotted on CDkeys.com.

CDkeys.com is a retailer of things such as PSN and Xbox Live cards as well as digital codes for some PC games, so a listing for "WWE 2K16" appearing on their website is not exactly unusual.

What is unusual is that the publisher of "WWE 2K16," 2K Sports, has yet to actually confirm the existence of any PC port for the game, so the listing, for now at least, is for a title that is still unofficial.

On top of that, the CD keys listing also includes some important details such as the price, currently listed at £21.99, and even a release date of March 31.

There's a possibility that the March 31 release date is simply just a placeholder provided until more official information is known, or it could also represent the actual day that the game will be launched.

It may be noted that the March 31 release date seen in the listing is close enough to WrestleMania 32 that it at least seems somewhat plausible. WrestleMania 32 is set to take place in Arlington, Texas on April 3.

The annual event known as WrestleMania is considered to be the biggest night of the World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) year, and the company would seem to benefit from having added publicity leading up to that.

Launching the PC version of "WWE 2K16" may not be the most effective way for the company to garner attention for the annual showcase event, but it can still manage to drum up its fair share of headlines.

Releasing the PC version of "WWE 2K16" so close to WrestleMania 32 may even provide additional promotional opportunities for the WWE in the form of launch parties.

Still, with the PC version of "WWE 2K16" remaining unconfirmed for now, all fans can do is hope that an official announcement regarding its arrival will be coming sooner rather than later.
