WWE rumors 2016: The Rock's recent appearance indicates he will only re-emerge at WrestleMania 32

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made an appearance in last week's edition of WWE Raw, doing what he does best, talking about almost anyone in the WWE roster.

There was that segment that saw him doing a verbal exchange with the New Day, although things got a bit physical when the Usos lent him a hand by technically feeding him each member and laying his marquee finishers.

But at the end of it all, "The Rock" bid adieu to Miami and told the New Day (and indirectly everyone) that he will see them at WrestleMania 32.

This means that from here on, Johnson is unlikely to appear in the next pay-per-view (WWE Fastlane) and succeeding shows before WrestleMania 32 sets in by April.

To recall, there is an insurance issue to think about. With Johnson in the middle of filming schedules for "Baywatch," the last thing that film producers would want is a repeat of WrestleMania 29.

Johnson and Cena got it on at the time but "The Rock" ended up coming out of that with an injury. Such eventually caused a delay in the production of "Hercules" wherein Johnson was the main star.

The best to scenario for the "The Rock" right now would be to see him as a special enforcer or a simple segment similar to what he did alongside former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 31.

As far as the first suggestion is concerned, Johnson could end up being an enforcer or special guest referee to the planned Triple H vs. Roman Reigns setto. As everyone knows, Reigns is "The Rock's" cousin so adding Johnson could even up the odds a bit — assuming Triple H commissions his minions (The League of Nations) for that event.

The easy route is a segment wherein "The Rock" does what he usually does, talk. Johnson has made a living doing that, so it may all depend on what script he pulls this time around.
