WWE Rumors: injury putting Daniel Bryan out of Extreme Rules

WWE Extreme Rules is days away and as we speak, Intercontinental champion Daniel Bryan is still on the cards.

Bryan is set to defend his title against previous IC title holder Bad News Barrett but the word around right now is that Bryan may not be fit to compete for the upcoming pay-per-view.

The health of Bryan was put into question as early as the European tour of the WWE. Bryan was pulled out and it looks like the reigning IC champion is suffering from a concussion. It is believed that Bryan suffered the concussion after his match with Sheamus.

To date, the card is still live at WWE.com so it should be interesting how the WWE would try to maneuver the match. But the most important question of it all is will Bryan really be around?

Bryan seemed to have gone back to his high risk ways a tad early and such has cost the Yes Man big time. Bryan is coming off neck surgery and a long respite but surprisingly announced his return prior to the last Royal Rumble.

While many had expected Bryan to take it a bit easy, such was not the case. He went to his old ways and drew punishment, particularly during Wrestlemania 31 where Bryan took part in the ladder match to determine who would be the Intercontinental Champion.

Bryan of course came out on top and while it remains a mystery, the ladder match may have, in part, taken its toll on Bryan.

When his health was put in question, Bryan participated in tag matches over the usual head-to-head. It was here that many believed that Bryan may be suffering from an injury but his sudden pull-out from the European Tour is what truly catapulted the issue.

So will Bryan be around at WWE Extreme Rules or not? Rumors say nay. Bryan is expected to be out for five weeks and is said to be questionable for WWE Payback as well.

Would these developments signal a devastating blow to the career of Daniel Bryan?
