WWE rumors 2015: Kevin Owens wants a piece of the 'Beast'

Kevin Owens is, of course, a lost soul in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) at the moment and his much fabled storyline with John Cena seems to have finally ended.

After losing to Cena yet again at WWE Battleground, Owens has been reportedly dropped down to the mid-card batch. Based on that July 20 show where he teamed up with Sheamus and Rusev against the triumvirate of John Cena, Randy Orton and Cesaro, it looks like the former WWE NXT champion has now been temporarily shelved.

Owens did garner huge success when he got elevated to the regular WWE roster but apparently all that died down after WWE Battleground.

At the moment, it looks like the brash Canadian will be feuding with Cesaro in the meantime; although if he had his way, Owens would want a match with Brock Lesnar.

Of course all that is wishful thinking. Lesnar is too busy right now against the returning Undertaker and chances are after that storyline, Lesnar will once again set his eyes on the WWE title.

That is unless Owens does something to draw the Beast Incarnate's attention in one of Lesnar's future matches. Would that make Lesnar a fan-favorite rather than a heel if ever it does materialize?

The thing is, Owens will have to work his way up to that level. His performance at WWE Batteground disappointed a lot of fans and the reality of it all is that he has to regain momentum starting now.

He is most likely to battle Cesaro at WWE SummerSlam and nothing is certain yet on which path he may go. He could return to WWE NXT and feud with Finn Balor; or he could remain in the WWE and try to ease himself in against Lesnar.

It doesn't necessarily have to be for the WWE title, maybe something else. If not the most coveted price in the WWE, what could possibly draw the interest of Paul Heyman and Lesnar to take on Owens?
