It looks like Finn Balor's torn labrums will sideline him long enough to miss Wrestlemania 33. According to the latest reports, the Demon King might be out for a year.

Balor recently revealed that instead of four months rehabilitation, he will now wait at least six months to be back in the ring. However, PW Insider Elite says that it could take much longer than that. It was discovered that there are two broken bones inside as well.

"Torn labrums can have talents out of action for up to 8-9 months. There was some hope last week that Balor could be back in time for Wrestlemania 33 season, perhaps for the 2017 Royal Rumble in January, but it's still too early to tell," the report read.

Forbes adds that six months full recovery could be a long shot for Balor seeing that it usually takes around a year to completely restore an injured shoulder to its normal state.

The site also noted how NXT star Hideo Itami waited for more than a year before he could to the ring and fight again after suffering the same condition.

The nature of Balor's injury is one that is unpredictable and difficult to assess early on. However, the hope is that he will be back by late February, which would allow him to make it to Wrestlemania 33.

But looking at previous cases, it appears that Balor will be missing in action for a while. His return, however, would certainly be a massive event.

The former NXT champion had to relinquish the WWE Universal Championship a day after he won it in a match against Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam. Now the title is being held by Kevin Owens.

The Demon King was definitely on a roll after being drafted to RAW. When he announced he was giving up the title, he vowed to go after whoever it is that has it when he returns. Whether that will happen at Wrestlemania 33 in April remains to be seen.
