Shinsuke Nakamura is expected to be called up to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) main roster soon after his match against Samoa Joe at the upcoming WWE NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2.

The King of Strong Style is slated to take the NXT Championship from the Samoan Submission Machine, who is headed to the WWE main roster as well.

A clean win for Nakamura at the highly-anticipated NXT event will surely be his ticket to WWE. This is, of course, supported by his performance as a wrestler on the whole.

Nakamura made a name for himself in Japan before he graced the NXT and has not stopped earning fans since. His charisma and his fighting style shine bright in the ring.

The King of Strong Style had amazing matches. The most acclaimed was his recent bout against Sami Zayn at the NXT TakeOver: Dallas, which is easily being dubbed as the best match of the year.

However, there are reports that Nakamura is not headed to the WWE main roster, at least not yet as he is being poised to be the face of WWE's development system first.

That being said, Nakamura might reign on NXT first. After all, with Finn Balor now making waves in the official WWE main roster and Samoa Joe making his way as well, NXT needs a charismatic new face.

As to when Nakamura's time to shine in WWE will take place, it is unknown for now although reports say he is being primed for his big debut.

It also remains to be seen which brand – Smackdown Live or Monday Night Raw – The King of Strong Style he will end up. Rumor has it he will fit well in the blue brand.

It would be interesting to see if Nakamura will get the same boost his former NXT rival Finn Balor enjoyed from WWE. The Demon King will be up against Seth Rollins for the newly-established WWE Universal Championship.
