It is a fact that there are a lot of die-hard wrestling entertainment fans out there and there will be instances where they may get out of hand.

Unfortunately, that is what happened when the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) held a Live Event in Victoria, British Columbia when a spectator threw a 'Money in the Bank' briefcase replica at Reigns.

The briefcase hit Reigns at the back of the head and the match had to be stopped temporarily. The incident left Reigns distraught, stunned at what happened but visibly upset at what had just transpired.

The fan got kicked out (as chanted by the fans) and eventually arrested for assault charges. Aside from that, the unruly fan has been banned from all WWE events as reported by CTV.

It would be later learned that the male fan brought the replica briefcase in the arena and was allegedly wooed into throwing the briefcase into the ring which unfortunately hit Reigns on the noggin.

No charges were, however, filed after the 31-year-old man apologized for the incident. However, he is still blacklisted in future WWE events.

The live event was apparently part of a WWE SummerSlam Tour that stopped over the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, British Columbia.

Prior to the briefcase throwing, Reigns had just been pummeled with a kendo stick by Bray Wyatt in the highly brutal match.

Reigns and Wyatt are currently tied up in a storyline feud and will be facing each other this weekend at WWE SummerSlam in tag team action.

Reigns will have buddy Dean Ambrose at his side while Wyatt will have Luke Harper on the other end.

The feud of the two ironically started at WWE Money in the Bank when Wyatt deprived Reigns of getting his hands on the briefcase. Sheamus ended up as the 2015 Money in the Bank winner after Wyatt's interference. A video of the incident can be viewed below.
