Microsoft has been working non-stop to fulfill its promise of giving its Xbox One players additional Xbox 360 games via its Backward Compatibility program. There are currently more than 180 games to enjoy and there will be many more to come.

New titles are being released every single week, which adds to the growing number of Xbox 360 games that gamers can enjoy on their current Xbox video game console. Last week, Microsoft finally decided to release "Call of Duty: Black Ops" and fans went wild. Gamers have been literally begging the tech giant to release the game for quite a time now.

Even Amazon, the retail giant, experienced the surge in sales of its "Black Ops" games, though mostly secondhand copies were accounted for a 13,000 percent increase in sales after Microsoft announced the news, Express reported.

Recently added titles on the Backward Compatibility list include "Final Fight: Double Impact," "Puzzlegeddon," "Frogger 2," "Faery: Legends of Avalon," "Phantasy Star II," "DIG DUG" and "Samurai Shodown II." "Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien," "Sonic & Knuckles," "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II" were also included.

Xbox also listed games highly favored by fans, which include "Call of Duty: Black Ops," "Halo Wars," Left 4 Dead 2," "Halo: Reach," "Gears of War 3," "Fable III" and "BattleBlock Theater."

In other news, Attack of the Fanboy reported that Amazon has listed several Xbox 360 games that will soon join the Backward Compatibility list. These games and their expected release dates are "Skate 2" on June 3; "Fable Anniversary," on June 7; "Burnout Revenge," "Dragon Age 2," and "Fight Night Round 4" on June 14; and "Crackdown 2" on July 1.

The Backward Compatibility feature was introduced back in November 2015.
