It has already been confirmed that Xiaomi will be launching its newest flagship iteration, the Mi 5, before the month ends. Prior to its unveiling, details about the company's new premium smartphone continue to float online.

Observers are saying that the Mi 5's new camera is powerful and a better one than its predecessor, judging from the photo shot with the Mi 5 that made their way online.

According to Phone Arena, the supposed leaks came from no other than Xiaomi Vice President Hugo Barra. Barra posted the images on his Facebook page to show people how the Mi 5 leveled up in terms of its features. The industry follower said that if the image is any indication, then the new Mi 5 is an improved iteration indeed.

The picture that Barra uploaded is in HDR automatic mode, shot with the 16-MP main shooter of the Mi 5. In Barra's post, the Xiaomi VP said that the image was taken taking advantage of the HDR feature in the camera but no user intervention such as filters were used. In addition, Barra also reiterated that the image did not use the full resolution of the Mi 5's camera.

Meanwhile, Android Pit is saying that even without the supposed image uploaded recently, the Mi 5 is looking to be a great product based on its specs. According to the industry follower, the current-gen Mi 4 lineup is already a good one, and since the Mi 5 is considered to be better than its predecessor, the specs of the Mi 5 will provide next-level features. The Mi 5 is said to be launching with a Snapdragon 820 processor paired with at least 3 GB of RAM, as well as versions that may include a Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus with a bigger screen.
