Xiaomi Mi Max 3 rumors: Device may sport 7-inch screen, 5,500mAh battery, Snapdragon 630/660

More leaks and rumors have been coming out for the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 as its release date draws near.

According to The Indian Express, a report from the Chinese news site CNMO suggested that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will sport a bezel-less screen similar to Apple's iPhone X, as well as huge battery capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 may sport a huge 7-inch display – 0.6 inch larger than the previous Xiaomi Mi Max 2. The resolution on the Max 3 may also be as much as 2,160 x 1080 pixels, but with an aspect ratio of only 18:9.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 may also sport a dual camera setup on the back similar LG, Huawei, and Apple's recent line of smartphone devices. While there is no information regarding what Xiaomi may be using as a lens, a leaked render shows that the Mi Max 3 may feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

In terms of the battery, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is rumored to feature a massive battery capacity of 5,500 mAh. Compared to the previous generations of Xiaomi's Mi Max line of devices, the Mi Max 3 has 200 mAh more of battery power from the Mi Max 2 (5,300 mAh) and 650 mAh more of battery capacity from the first generation Mi Max (4,850 mAh). The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 may also offer support for "Quick Charge 3.0" similar with the HTC 10, Razer Phone, LG V30, Nokia 8, and Samsung Galaxy S8.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is also rumored to be released in two variants: the first variant will sport a Snapdragon 630 processor from Qualcomm; and the second variant will feature a Snapdragon 660 processor similar to the Asus Zenfone 4, Xiaomi X1, and Xiaomi Mi Note 3.

Lastly, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will run Xiaomi's MIUI 8 with the Android 7.0 "Nougat" operating system. It is also possible that the future update for the phone will deliver the latest Android 8.0 "Oreo."
