Chinese mobile device manufacturer Xiaomi gears up for the release of its latest phablet offering, the Xiaomi Mi Max, as the device becomes available for pre-order worldwide.

Xiaomi unveiled the new device on May 10, showing a 6.44-inch full-HD display with a 1080x1920 pixel resolution. This is currently the biggest smartphone offered by the Chinese mobile brand yet.

Consumers would most likely decide to purchase the new device because of its sleek and slim, 7.55 mm-thick all-metal body that is available in gold, silver, and dark grey. The brand also addressed the problem of viewing the phone's screen under the direct sunlight by adding a Sunlight Display mode.

The device can also compete with other leading smartphone brands in terms of its built-in high-resolution camera features since the Xiaomi Mi Max comes with a 16MP rear camera that has a 5-lens capacity with dual-tone flash and phase-detection autofocus. It also has a 5PM secondary front-facing camera with an 85-degree wide-angle lens for superb selfie shots.

Just like other popular brands, Xiaomi's newest phablet also comes out with a fingerprint scanner to increase the device's security features. This means that the device is generally safe to use when doing online payment transactions.

Consumers will also consider buying Xiaomi's latest offering because of its competitive price. For its 32GB model with 3GB RAM capacity and Snapdragon 650 chipset, the phone can be purchased for only $325.89. The 64GB model with 3GB RAM capacity and Snapdragon 652 comes with a $359.89 price tag. But for those who will need a higher capacity for their smartphone, they can purchase the 128GB edition with 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 652 chipset for $499.89.

The Xiaomi Mi Max will be available beginning June 21, but Gearbest already began accepting pre-orders for the device. Chinese consumers, meanwhile, got a chance to own the device earlier compared to the rest of the world when the company decided to launch a flash sale on May 17.
