China-based Xiaomi has been rising up fast in the global devices market. The company hopes to get a solid corner of the devices market with another flagship outing. Rumors suggest that fans will not have that long to wait for a new addition to the Xiaomi lineup.

The most recent rumors place Xiaomi already getting ready for the release of the Redmi Note 2 Pro. According to Times News UK, the device has already been seen passing the standards of a 3C certification agency in China. The database website listed at least three models for the device, namely models 2015617, 2015611 and 2015056.

Meanwhile, Phone Arena said that aside from the rumored Redmi Note 2 Pro, the certification agency also listed other devices like a handheld blender. This makes Xiaomi not just a smartphone company but a diversified tech manufacturer (the company already has an air purifier available for purchase).

Although the certification website did not list the specifications for the Redmi Note 2 Pro, it is expected that the specs and design will be like its predecessor. It is suggested that the next Note 2 Pro iteration will come with the same 5.5-inch, full HD display as the previous one, and may carry a MediaTek chipset, most probably a Helio X10 processor.

Meanwhile, Tech Times reported that based on leak images that surfaced online, fans may expect the Redmi Note 2 Pro to have a premium, all-metal body. The device also seemed to be carrying an integrated fingerprint scanner. However, the fingerprint scanner will only be for a premium version, as the website mentioned that the flagship would be shipped out in two versions.

Other purported specs of the Redmi Note 2 Pro include 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage (expandable via microSD), 13- and 5-MP cameras, and a 3,060-mAh battery.
