'The Young and the Restless' July 9, 10 episode recap: Victor punches Neil
Thursday on "The Young and the Restless," Chelsea congratulated Abby for the Newman-Abbott deal. Kyle arrived and told Abby that maybe they should congratulate Victor, too, for getting Jack out of the way. Chelsea said she wanted what's best for the company, and Kyle fired back that she had been sleeping with Gabriel. Kyle warned Abby that she'd regret taking Gabe's side when Jack woke up.
At Newman-Abbott, Victoria had an idea to mess with Gabe and told Billy all about it. She said that they could make Gabe lose focus by showing him how uncooperative they are. They went into the office and picked a fight with Nick.
At the hospital, Jack wanted Phyllis to know that he could hear her, so he wiggled his fingers and squeezed her hand. Phyllis asked him to do it again, but when the doctor came in, Jack was unable to do so. But when the doctor left, Jack squeezed her hand again. Phyllis told him to squeeze once for yes and twice for no. Just as Phyllis was asking Jack if he brought a gun to the park, Adam arrived. Phyllis left the room.
Adam told Jack that he found him in the park and said that he thought he was dead and didn't know what to do. Adam told him to get better and that they'd figure everything out together.
In the corridor, Ashley and Ben joined Phyllis, who was looking in on Gabe/ Adam and Jack. Adam went out of Jack's room and Ashley mocked him for putting Abby in charge. She told him the war had just begun, and Ashley and Ben walked away.
Back in Jack's room, Phyllis told Jack that she didn't trust Gabe and that she'd keep an eye on him. Jack squeezed twice — he was telling her there's no need to do that.
Adam returned to Newman-Abbott and found Nick, Victoria, and Billy arguing. Chelsea told him that they ganged up on Abby that's why she left. Adam said they couldn't do this, they had to work together, as a team.
On Friday, July 10, Sharon told Dylan that she wanted him to stay away from Avery; Devon and Hilary reached out to Lily; Cane and Lauren talked to Michael; Dylan wanted justice for Avery; and Victor punched Neil.
"The Young and the Restless" airs Mondays to Fridays at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
