In the next episode of "Young Sheldon," genius Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) takes extreme measures to stay healthy when the flu season hits their town.

The synopsis and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "A Sneeze, Detention, and Sissy Spacek," were just released recently, and they show Sheldon wearing a medical mask to protect him from germs circulating in the air.

His sister Missy (Raegan Revord) sees how plain his mask is, so she takes out a red marker and draws a mouth on it, with Sheldon still wearing the thing. He wears the mask wherever he goes, even at the dinner table. Apparently, he is utterly frightened about contracting the flu, which has hit the town of Medford. His parents are hoping that the flu will blow over, knowing how problematic Sheldon can get with these situations.

The young genius takes it even to more extremes when he covers a space in the house with a plastic shell of some sort; the place evidently serves as his clean sanctuary. It is here where he knows that he will be safe from the flu germs, and it will be the single place where he will not need to wear the medical mask. His parents are caught in disbelief as they see the plastic-covered space. It seems that Sheldon may have taken it too far. It remains to be seen if the germaphobic kid and his parents will be able to reach a compromise.

In the last episode, Sheldon's mom Mary (Zoe Perry) bought him a computer so that he could improve his intellectual skills. She also got it to help with recording food recipes. The father did not like it initially, but he warmed up to the computer in the end.

"Young Sheldon" season 1 episode 13 will hit the small screens on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 8:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
